Catching Up With Cousins

We had a fun time this last week catching up with our family who are stationed in Germany. My sister and her family were in St. George for a visit and we got to go down and spend a couple days with them. We celebrated birthdays since all of her kids have birthdays in the next few months. Here the kids got to have cupcakes and everyone got a turn blowing out candles except Ricky who couldn't wait to start eating his cupcake. We also went to Zions National Park and had a picnic. The kids had a great time. They played with balls, bubbles and dirt. Ricky and Lori's youngest, William, had the most fun just playing in the dirt. They are the same age and it was fun times just digging and throwing dirt around. Kayla is the same age as her cousin, Ava. They are both in the process of learning to share. It was hard with all the different toys around but they did manage to find a quiet place to play Barbies. It was so good to see them and have a chance to spend time together. Who knows where they will end up next?

We spent an extra day in St. George with my Mom after that. Their pool was heated up for visitors so the kids got to go swimming for a bit. Ricky doesn't want to be in his floaty much anymore. He saw Kayla jumping off the side to Daddy and wanted to try it. Nana Katie let him have a try and he loved it. He didn't want to stop and hated getting out of the pool for good but he was shivering so bad and the wind was picking up so we had to end that adventure. We had fun but then it was time to come home the next day. These fun times are never long enough.

And of course we can't forget Poppa Roger's special treat. The kids both got a motorcycle ride. This was Ricky's first time and while he looked quite nervous, he was so mad when we took him off. He loves Poppa Roger and wanted to do everything with him while we were there.
