Grampa Covington's Birthday

I don't have pictures to go with this post, sorry. This last weekend we went up to Salt Lake for my Grampa's 75th birthday celebration. We stayed with my brother and his wife in their beautiful new home in Kaysville. It was so fun to spend time with them and their adorable boys. My kids love their cousins so much. Ricky was pretty attached to Uncle Cory alot of the time. He kept running to him wanting to be picked up. It was really cute.
The party was held at a park in Bountiful. A good portion of my family was there and that's saying alot because I have a BIG family. All of my Aunts and Uncles were there with their families (most of their children, anyway). My Uncle Gary, who passed away, was also represented by 2 of his children. We also were joined by 2 of my Grampa's brothers and his sister. We BBQ'd steaks and had lots of food. My grampa is someone who loves to work. He is a great example to all of us. He loves to work with his hands, with tools, and yes, with his mind. We each got a chance to present him with a tool and tell him how he helped us in our lives or share a favorite memory we have of him. Then my Aunt Carla (its so weird to call her that, she is a year younger than me!) made a video/picture montage for him and that was my favorite part. I loved seeing the pictures of him throughout the years and seeing the pictures with all his children and grandchildren. He has always had a way of making each of us feel like we are his favorite. I love you, Grampa! Happy Birthday!
